My client a leading provider of defence and security products and services in Australia is looking for a Project manager to join their team on a part time basis for an initial 4 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of allocated projects within the international support services project. The ideal candidate will come from a project management background in the vehicle maintenance area and will have experience in the maintenance cycle for vehicles or fleet experience.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Ensuring compliance with Project Management Office directives on Project Management processes and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with the Product Issues Management Process and obtaining relevant approvals through the Initial Incident Review and Detailed Incident Review
- Delivering reliable and regularly updated Estimated Cost At Completion or Project Reports
- Meeting target cost (allocated cost) and hence margin, while permanently seeking to reduce costs, carefully manage risks and leverage internal and external opportunities
- Create, distribute and manage work packages
- Support the Project Manager deliver accurate monthly Dashboard reports
- Manage the implementation of process/contract improvements negotiated via Contract Change Proposals
- Manage and update project plans
- Manage Project Team allocations and delivery of service
- Monitor consumption of hours against budget for allocated areas of responsibility
- Customer Management, through the Project Manager
