The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on assignment in Atnwerp, Belgium.

The client is currently seeking a Project Manager as follows:

Tasks:
. drive the different projects forward as scheduled and agreed between the two business units
. act as escalation point for project related issues, risks and scope, architecture changes
. be responsible for keeping an overview and identifying any issues and overlaps within a project and in between projects
. be responsible for generating complete and timely RFCs to get the necessary changes in place
. will have different roles depending on the project
. reports on project progress with Service Desk Manager, Change Manager, Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager and/or CIO
. alleviates operations management with regard to projects allowing operations manager to concentrate on actual operational tasks.

Technical Environment:

Technical environment mainly Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems

Middleware is combination of WebSphere and Jboss application Servers (to be moved to WebLogic and to be hosted on an exalogic), MQSeries, UC4

Webservers primarily Apache

More Oracle applications are being acquired (eg. OAM, EBS, OTM, SOA) to replace existing solutions

Most Middleware components run on oracle databases with some smaller applications using MySQL, MS SQL, MaxDB

Language skills:

Dutch mandatory
English mandatory
German a plus

Previous experience:
Project management experience
MS Project experience

Other requirements:
Solid technical background comprising many areas, ranging from hardware up to end user space
Flexibility - some work outside office hours is sometimes required
