Our major Investment Banking client, based in Manhattan New York, has an URGENT requirement for an IT Program/Project Manager to undertake a new long term contract position. The client is looking to interview and engage with the successful candidate ASAP.

This role will encompass managing programs and projects in a shared services model, enhance the process governance framework. Successful candidates will be highly adaptable, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to effectively manage multiple work streams.
The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 10 years of program and portfolio management experience with an ability to think tactically as well as strategically while leading cross functional teams in a matrixed environment.
The candidate will have a successful history of leading large scale, complex development efforts in a fast paced environment and demonstrate a sustained track record of delivering high-quality outputs, on-time and to product specifications.
Skills Required
- Demonstrated capabilities in successfully leading enterprise wide programs and projects.
- Domain expertise in end-to-end management and support of large scale product development efforts; overseeing multiple products/workstreams in various stages of product life cycle; tracking, alignment and staging of work around numerous dependencies
- High degree of business acumen and technical competency; ability to balance and bridge technology and business needs; project and program management
- Strong business analytical skills to develop technical and functional requirements, use cases, user story maps and other related artifacts.
- Experience in reviewing technical solution design and evaluation to ensure it meets business requirements and long term product goals.
- Strong resource management skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate large scale planning, development and user acceptance testing efforts
- Experience in working with agile life cycle and/or tracking and process management tools, eg JIRA
- Identify and analyze opportunities and make tactical/strategic recommendations
- Hands on project management approach that includes a proven track record of project/program execution
