This is a terrrific, potentially long-term, role at a major global financial services institution!
This role will involve looking after organisation's network security across LAN, WAN, Cisco and other associated platforms.
The role will have broadly the following duties:
- identifying and patching network security exposures and weaknesses
- work with the network management team to update, define and/or improve standards, processes and procedures around the management and monitoring of network technologies and Firewalls
- working with applications and applications security teams to ensure that new applications are implemented in a secure manner and risks minimised
- managing risk and vulnerabilitiues idenditfied on the orghanisation's internal network
To be considered for this role you will need the following skills, attributes and experience:
- Good knowledge of OSPF and Cisco IOS
- NAT and VLAN partitioning
- Good knowledge ofd security aspects of Router and switch configuration
- Secure DMZ design and knowledge of how to isolate network interfaces
- Checkpoint and/or Palo Alto Firewalls
- Intrusion Detection Systems & Prevention Systems
- Access control
- F5 load balancing
- DDoS
A CISSP or CISM qualification would be an advantage.
