Fully Qualified Accountant - Treasury/Finance - London
My client, a leading investment bank, are recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join the Treasury Finance Team, to provide finance support to the treasury funding desk.
Responsibilities
- Daily P&L production - analysis of trade level positions and reporting financials and commentary to the desk
- Balance Sheet substantiation in line with key SoX processes
- Analytical review of treasury positions (monthly and quarterly analysis)
- Intercompany balances and settlements - investigation of breaks and coordination of issues
- Ad-hoc liaison with the treasury funding desk in both Dublin and London
- Support for the ongoing wind-down of the MLIB legal entity (eg trade reduction, client migration, capital repatriation etc)
- Co-ordination of the Wealth migration from Ireland to the Cayman Islands
- Ownership of key Middle Office and finance systems during transition
Essential Requirements
A qualified accountant ideally with experience within a Finance/Middle Office area within a large financial services organisation.
A high quality communicator, able to face off to the Treasury funding desk on financial matters, and to be a credible advisor and partner
Highly skilled in Excel communication and ideally familiar with Treasury systems
Knowledgeable on core Investment Banking product knowledge, and the ability to transfer skill-set to Treasury related product activity (eg FX swaps, bonds, repo/reverse repo, and money market instruments)
