My client is based in Brussels, Belgium. We are looking for a IP/MPLS Network Engineer, for an initial 6 Month rolling contract to start ASAP.

MAIN TASK

Engineer large & complex IP network infrastructure for International Carrier Market (delivering IP-Transit, Carrier Ethernet, Voice & Mobile Data services)

New architecture and design solutions

Extension/improvement of the IP/MPLS Core & Access Network

Extension/improvement of the DCN Network

Infrastructure Lifecycle Management

LAB Testing, including solution & product validation or new software validations

Infrastructure Lifecycle Management

Support to Operations for troubleshooting complex problem (3rd level) and Fulfillment Teams for specific customized solutions

Provide Internal Workshops & ad-hoc trainings

TECHNICAL SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS

Minimum 7 years in the telecom industry, senior attitude in any context

Expert level knowledge of (including strong hands on experience)

IPv4 & IPv6

Routing protocols (BGP, MP-BGP, ISIS, MPLS)

MPLS, MPLS Layer 2, Layer3 VPN, Traffic Engineering, FRR, 6(v)PE

Route Reflector configurations

QoS design and configurations

Switched network environments (QinQ, (rapid)Spanning tree variants, 802.3ad)

IP Sec configurations

Carrier Ethernet architectures and OAM

IP-Transit architectures and traffic management

Netflow configuration and analysis

SNMP & Syslogs

IP Compression

Traffic inspection, optimization, caching

Additional knowledge (considered as strong assets)

Network Scripting

Optical technologies (WDM, OTN, SDH), MPLS-TP, GMPLS

Network virtualization

Network simulation

SDN & Openflow principles

Knowledge IP-Security

Knowledge and experience of large Service Provider Carrier Network is a strong plus

Hands on experience with

Cisco High-End Routers (7600/) is required

Experience with ALCATEL SR Routers and SROS required

Cisco ME3400, Cisco ASR1k is required

Cisco ASR9k, ASR experience is a plus

Familiar with IP, MEF, RFC, IETF, ITU/ETSI Standards
