Industrial Engineering provides the people, means, methods and technical capabilities to introduce new products to the customer site and manufacturing. The industrial engineer improves reliability, availability, serviceability and manufacturability of the products, according to agreed specification. This means specification of operational requirements, co-design of new products, integration, validation, and introduction of new products and processes, and continuous improvement of volume equipment. This vacancy is within the industrialization software team for the position of a manufacturing engineer. It includes co-design and introduction of new products within the manufacturing department. The focus is for this job is on software and computer systems of the products
Job Description
In the product life cycle, the engineer has the following responsibilities: - Represent the manufacturing sector in the co-design phase and make sure the manufacturing requirements are implemented in the design. - Create manufacturing work instructions - Transfer knowledge to the production engineers - Take care for structural improvements and feedback on structural improvements towards development team. - Review technical documentation of the multidisciplinary development team. - Be the expert in analysis of complex problems in production The expertise is the software (machine control and infrastructure) and computer systems of the product.
Experience
Experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment. Experience in servicing/developing Embedded machine software. Specific knowledge: Basic UNIX/Linux knowledge. Basic programming skills (C, Shell Scripting) Knowledge on network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, ) Basic knowledge on web services, XML
Personal skills
Proven excellent social and communication skills in English. Team player, but also independent. Practical + Analytical person. Plenty of initiative, abstract thinking. If applicable, the ambition to learn Dutch is an advantage.
