Description
Responsibilities:- Assist structural validation engineers running OMSAs (On-Machine Stress Analysis) and OMLAs (On-Machine Loads Analysis).
- Assist and take part in testing, cleaning, and analysing data.
- Interface with business unit design and analysis groups, and instrument engineers.
Required Skills:
- Ability to lift 35 pound objects.
- Ability to work at heights using fall protection equipment.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as customers and suppliers.
- Ability to function as an individual contributor or team member.
- A self-starter with strong technical skills and is hands-on.
- A team player that has consistently demonstrated high initiative with good organizational skills.
- Potential travel up to 25%.
- BS from an accredited Engineering curriculum in Mechanical, Agricultural, Aerospace, Civil, Electrical, or Materials.
- Experience in computer aided design.
- Master's or PhD from an accredited engineering curriculum in the area of steel and/or cast iron fatigue.
- Experience in machine testing.
- Experience in doing fatigue analysis.
- A strong instrumentation background including laying strain gages and calibration.
- Experience in Customer engineering systems, eg, part drawings, materials DB (MVISION).
- Working knowledge of CLINK and FEA software.
- Working knowledge of Data Analysis Toolkit (DATK) and ProE.
