Project Accountant - 4 Month Contract - Birmingham - Disclosure Scotland
My Birmingham based client are currently recruiting a Project Accountant for an initial 4 month contract. The successful candidate MUST have or be able to pass the basic Disclosure Scotland security test. You will also operate through your own limited company and have professional indemnity insurance for a minimum of £1 million.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- Extensive Project Accounting experience including providing advice to Project teams on complex financial management
- Experience in developing project management financial reports linking financial numbers with activities and milestones
- Proven ability to prioritise in a demanding environment, multiple accountabilities, and to tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, financial reporting, and presentation skills with the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely
- Strong project forecasting and planning abilities with the ability to question and challenge the validity of forecasts
- Extensive experience in variance analysis with the ability to provide advice and suggestions on corrective actions and factor into forecasts
- Proven experience in complex cost and data modelling/commercial options appraisals
- Successful change management, implementing and delivering new working methods and practices
- Experience of financial capacity building
- Advanced Excel skills
