Looking for a new ETL Developer role for the next 3 months? Want to work on a one of a kind project? Able to write ETL packages in SSIS, and have experience of Oracle databases? If all of the above sound like yourself, this role may be for you.

Scope

An ETL Developer is required for a minimum of 3 months for an engagement with a large public sector client based in Greater Manchester. You will be working on one of their large projects, which is a first of its kind.

You Will
  • Develop ETL Packages using the SSIS Tool
  • Work on both Database Development and Database Administration
  • Be able to both write and test ETL processes
  • Have experience of working on very large data set migrations
  • Be able to pass SC clearance, or have it already


The Company

They are a large part of the public sector, and provide IT applications for a range of its branches across the North West. They have thousands of end users, and want to move this data into one central data mart, to form the backbone of later BI development.

Desired Skills
  • A background of using the SSIS tool for ETL process, and moving large sets of data
  • A knowledge of PL/SQL code, as the databases that are being migrated to and from are Oracle 11g based
  • A background of knowledge of DBA tasks and duties
  • Business Intelligence knowledge
  • Knowledge of Kimball methodology for Data Warehousing
  • A strong knowledge of SQL server
  • SC clearance, or the ability to pass this
