Description
Embedded, C, Real Time, CANA current requirement for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to work as part of the product development team responsible for software coding advanced manufacturing systems. You will produce code that ensures reliable operation of our product line under all operating conditions. You will also work with the wider development team to test the performance of your code. The role will require you to support software on existing laser products and develop code for new products.
Essential Skills
- Embedded software engineer preferably with experience in advance manufacturing systems
- Strong C coding skills on embedded platforms
- A background in industrial / manufacturing development across full software lifecycle
- Embedded Real Time Operating Systems - ideally uCos
- Windows based development tools e.g. CodeWarrior
- Experience of CAN Bus, RS232, USB, Ethernet(TCP/IP) and JTAG (Debugging)
Preferred Skills
- Ideally familiar with Freescale DSP although other hardware architectures useful
- Configuration Control (Subversion)
- .NET C# Winforms development using Visual Studio
- SQL Server
