QA Analyst
Minnetonka, MN
6 Plus Month Contract
Responsibilities/Relationships:
Develops tests for continuous regression testing.
Identify defects through systematic testing (following both technical and business specifications), help developers reproduce errors, and ensure that defects are fixed.
Participates throughout the design and development process, analysing features to point out weaknesses or inconsistencies.
Performs test maintenance on both manual and functional tests.
Meets testing deadlines within System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Maintains record of test discrepancies, using designated QA tools.
Provides testing status to appropriate IT and client management.
Qualifications:
8+ years of software QA experience.
Experience writing and executing test cases (ie Black Box testing) is required. White Box testing is desirable but not required.
Experience using Mercury Quality Center Test Plan, Test Lab, Defects and Requirements modules is required.
Must be able to link requirements to tests and defects as well as analyze and test defects.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Well-rounded individual with great analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, enthusiasm for taking ownership of features, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with developers and product managers.
Experience working under Agile Methodology preferred.
