SRM 7.2 SAP trainer reporting to End User Support Manager

This is a key role here at Thames Water where you will be responsible for producing and delivering SRM 7.2 training courses and reference materials across the organisation. This position plays a key part in ensuring Thames Water employees are trained and skilled to confidently operate a new role out of SRM 7

Not only will your enthusiasm for delivering effective training enable people from all different walks of our company be able to use our systems better, you will also be providing important feedback from your courses and reference materials in which you can improve and change future training for the better.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast moving, challenging and multi-disciplined environment and to make a measurable impact on the behaviours and skills of the business and its partners.

You will be able to work alongside colleagues at all levels of the business and will experience a diverse range of operational situations and scenarios as part of a multi-functional team including project managers, business analysts and SME's to deliver projects from inception to delivery.

This is an opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of the business and become part of an IS training team which delivers business as usual training as well as working directly with project teams introducing enhancements to existing systems and/or completely new systems.

What will this role involve?

Work with the Training Manager and the Solution Design & Delivery function to develop and deliver training for SRM 7.2 related business training.

Develop a library of modular training courses and reference material in line with business needs.

Create E-learning role based Training Materials in Captivate 7

Design appropriate training sessions using a modular approach- Use new techniques to motivate learning and enhance the feel of training to increase learning potential. This will effectively then increase individual's skill base.

Using a range of delivery techniques- eg classroom, 1-1 and workbook and developing E-learning material

Work with the management team to support their teams and gain understanding of current and future training requirements.

What skills are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has the passion to deliver exceptional training as well as having the best intention to further educate our employees on systems usage. You will need to be very technically focused, as well as having the magical balance of being able to translate technical terms and processes to the business users with ease. Detailed knowledge of SRM 7.2 and Captivate (or similar) E-learning software. Previous coaching/training experience is preferred but not essential.

You will need to have excellent communication and influencing skills to be able to develop strong relationships, whilst being seen as a role model to the whole business. As a motivated and creative trainer, you will have the energy to continuously learn and help other develop their current skills set.

Please note, due to nature of this role you will need to possess a full, clean UK driving licence to be able to full fill this position.
