Traditional communication providers are undergoing many changes. The future of today's Operating Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) is at an inflection point. At our client's new formed Development Center (DC) in Ireland they are pioneering new business and software architecture to support next generation products and solutions.
Development Center Ireland's mission is to position our client as a recognized technology leader in management software for communication systems (OSS and BSS). To achieve this they are building an industry-recognized multi-discipline lab of experts with focus on medium-term to long-term issues. The DC will work closely with an open innovative ecosystem with the client's European customers to address real-world issues. The DC will also engage with key European universities to build a basic research capability to support technical projects.
About the Position
In this big data era, providing service on the basis of location is becoming increasingly important. To provide better service to their clients, and develop the commercial benefit behind location, my client is keeping exploring and innovating new and pioneering solutions to locate more precisely.
Joining them, you will be responsible for the development of location algorithm,
Your responsibilities include:
- Guide and direct key technological trends of LBS Field.
- High performance Location algorithm designing; Take the theory derivation and simulation on Location Method, mainly focus on the algorithm of multidimensional fingerprint database creating and matching.
- Write the detailed design and Analysis document.
- Discuss with product development team and push the Algorithm into implementation
Requirements & Qualifications (domain specific, partial qualifications taken into account)
- Master or higher degree in computer science, mathematics, software architectures and/or communications or significant relevant industry experience.
- A good understanding of LBS (Location Based Service). Experience of location algorithm research is prior.
- In-depth knowledge and capability of modelling and mathematics
- Experience of multidimensional modelling and matching search is prior
- Experience of wireless propagation or commutation system is prior
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Worldwide short-term travels are required
Location
This is a Full time contractor position with 6 months renewable duration. This position will be based in the R&D office in Dublin, Ireland. Need to travel overseas according to business needs.
