Interim Head of Communications and Marketing

Our client, a leading NHS body, seeks an experienced Head of communications/Communications manager/Communications Consultant to take the lead in developing and implementing an effective and creative communications strategy to meet all of the internal and external needs of the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Head of Communications to make a difference to this thriving organisation by raising its' profile within the local communities and with key stakeholders.

Working closely with the board, executive and senior teams, the Head of Communications and Marketing/Communications Manager/Communications Consultant will provide professional advice and support to the team, ensuring the organisation's work is effectively communicated; the values of the organisation are reflected in all communications and promote a positive reputation to audiences.

The Head of Communications and Marketing will have: (Essential)
*A successful track record of effective media handling and communications
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills
*The ability to listen, influence, guide and persuade staff at all levels

Experience of:
*communications mix including media, social media, digital and print
*developing and implementing corporate communications and marketing strategies for internal and external markets
*writing and producing corporate reports and publications; news releases and articles
*developing and preparing marketing plans and campaign materials
*managing several complex projects
*setting and delivering effective marketing communications techniques and approaches
*advising senior managers and staff about communications
*evidence of successful reputation management
*working effectively with staff, unions, media and external stakeholders

(Desirable)
*Experience of delivering communications and marketing in the public sector or NHS or charity sector
*Knowledge of the NHS its' current policy direction and local health care issues
*Evidence of experience of working with the public on health related issues
