You will ideally have CURRENT SC Clearance
Well-proven Safety Assurance Engineering background is essential
Experience and understanding in the assessment of safety related systems with a sound knowledge of ATC or related Operational Systems and Procedures.
Good written communication skills, with an ability to adopt style and approach, rapidly assimilate information, and prepare and deliver presentations to a good standard in short timescales.
Appreciation of the implications of ARM and Integrity upon ATC Systems.
Appreciation of the issues associated with Human Factors and Software to the safe delivery of ATC services, within the ATM environment.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of regulation and experience of the work of regulatory bodies eg HSE, SARG.
Experience of Systems Safety Engineering and Safety Case Construction encompassing electrical, electronic and software engineering, human factors, ATC, and building/environmental services (eg HVAC, power distribution).
Up to date knowledge of national and international standards relating to safety management.

Desired Skills:
Air Traffic Control courses or experience is desirable
Understanding of challenges facing ATM providers
Systems engineering experience with high-integrity Real Time systems
Systems engineering experience with safety-related and/or safety-critical systems
An understanding of the goals of the Single European Skies ATM Research (SESAR) and the associated SESAR Safety Reference Material.
Experience in assuring operating systems, hypervisors and Software Assurance provision of assurance in accordance with (EU) Directive and ED109.
Experience in providing Software Application assurance in a cloud based environment
Experience in providing software assurance for software developed using Agile development processes.
