The successful candidate will be working in a fast moving and growing software development team, capable of demonstrating an enthusiastic approach to learning new technologies and skills.
Senior/lead client side developer role working in a start-up environment building a new platform to service a lifestyle management solution (initially focusing on a personal finance management application).
You will be working as a part of a small development team responsible for delivering the first version of the product to market. The candidate will be part of the development team collaborating with other experienced developers and will get the opportunity to conceptualize and design a complete front to Back End solution. The candidate will be expected to be the fulcrum and primary expertise on client side technologies and implement choices for the deployment of this cloud based application across multiple platforms and devices.
We are looking for candidates coming from a strong technical Java/J2EE programming background.
Experience:
You will have:
- A third level computer science qualification - 2.1 degree or higher
- Worked on relevant projects or have relevant personal projects (eg specific application development and roll-out
- A strong level of expertise and a number of years' experience in client side technologies, primarily JavaScript
- Some experience with standard relational database technologies (eg MySQL, Oracle) or non-relational database technologies (eg MongoDB)
- 5+ years professional experience
- Experience with continuous integration (eg Hudson, Maven, JUnit)
In addition:
- Specific experience working with charting outputs and data grids is a strong plus
- Specific experience in iOS or Android app development is a plus
- A background on Server Side coding in the past (in Java preferably) is also a plus
