Solutions Architect - 1 year - Amsterdam/Brussels
Solution Architect required for one of my clients for 1 year contract. In this role as a Solutions Architect your primary role is to enable the winning of service, products and solution opportunities through solutions designs that meet customers' requirements and are recognized as cost competitive.
Tasks
- Creates the overall solution architecture and documents it in high-level design documents that underpin lower level design documents and costing activities
- Contributes to project repositories and re-uses existing material where possible for own solution & proposal documentation
- Ensures that the solution is technologically sound and state of the art. Covers the technical angle in proof of concept and business approval meetings
- Provides input to Financial Engineers and takes ownership of the completeness of cost submitted. Regularly checks cost against benchmark during the design process
- Identifies, assesses and minimizes risk associated with their solution and ensures that these are appropriately tracked through the risk register
- Uses and makes contribution to the knowledge base and delivers feedback to Portfolio & Delivery to shape portfolio and service element development. Coaches and provides guidance to more junior consultants
Required skills
- Experience in designing solutions as a delivery architect for managed services and outsourcing projects is a must. this can vary from complete solutions to additional demand/change request going from 10K to over 1 million EUR
- 4 to 7 years professional experience in the IT industry designing high value, complex solutions
- Solid knowledge of large scale managed End User Services and Service Management solutions including: End User Device Services (Rollout, migrations, packaging; Back End services) and Service Delivery Management)
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
- General knowledge of broad spectrum IT domains including data centre and security
- Translation of business requirements to a customer solution
- Knowledge of Service Management and service delivery modelling
- Cost model understanding, modification and creation
- Language: Dutch and English
