Job Title: QA Tester
Location: Midtown, GA
MUST BE ABLE TO INTERVIEW LOCALLY THIS WEEK AND START 12/8.
Organization that is a technology integration and management firm transforming how technology does business is seeking a QA Tester. In this role you will be responsible for providing QA testing services in an Agile environment, including working with the development team and customer to estimate stories and build and execute test plans, to partner with our clients to help them achieve their business goals of increasing efficiencies and creating a competitive advantage.
Our client is uniquely positioned to deliver consulting and solutions that encompass all levels of technology from the application down to the networking layer. The Application Development Practice has comprehensive knowledge and expertise in developing robust software solutions within the Microsoft stack.
Specific duties include:
- Troubleshoot technical defects and identify the tier the issue exists in (such as Front End/JavaScript, middle-tier or database/SQL)
- Estimate the testing effort necessary to complete stories within a sprint
- Work within the Agile software development framework
- Understand automated tests and leverage existing tests created by developers as part of a test plan
- Author and execute agile test plans
- Work in a consultative manner with the client's product owner to develop acceptance criteria
- Work with the client's User Acceptance Test (UAT) team to help accept stories as done
- Represent the company brand when communicating with clients and co-workers.
To be successful, you should possess:
- 2+ years exposure to relevant technologies: JavaScript, and/or Microsoft.NET C#, and/or T-SQL
- 1-2 years demonstrable experience authoring and executing QA test plans in an agile framework
- Minimum 6 months working on an agile team (scrum preferred but not required)
- 4 year degree in computer science or management information systems or related experience
