My Client is looking for an experienced Clinical Team Leader to join a team of Nurse Assessors with good clinical background and a good understanding of Continuing Healthcare and the frameworks.
The successful Clinical Team Leader will be responsible for management of the clinical elements of the retrospective review process for the closedown cases, ensuring that procedures are followed according to the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS.
Key Responsibilities for Clinical Team Leader
Overall responsibility for the clinical elements of the retrospective review process, supervising the review of individual cases as carried out by nursing staff in the team.
Provide specialist advice and support to the CHC Retrospective Review Team Manager as required.
Liaise closely with the Administrative Team Leader to ensure smooth running of an integrated process.
Manage a caseload of the more highly complex, contentious and sensitive cases from request to conclusion;
Specialist clinical advice and support in relation to cases that go through Local NHS Dispute Resolution, NHS Independent Review process, Health Service Ombudsman and Judicial review.
Collate confidential patient information pertaining to medical, nursing, psychological and social needs in order to produce a robust and comprehensive patient journey in line with the Health Service Ombudsman guidance.
To prepare reports as required with regard to individual cases, which are subject to close legal scrutiny, dealing with the exchange of correspondence with legal representatives and advocates on a daily basis.
To respond to queries from relatives, CCGs, advocates etc. as appropriate where specialist clinical response is required.
To attend meetings appropriate to the role and as agreed by the CHC Retrospective Review Team Manager.
