Description :
• The SOE is accountable for following tasks in the scope of:
• Incident handling
• Change Management
• Technical support for SLM
• Alignment with SPA for including in NFR is crucial
• Service Operational Engineer role will:
• Assist in solving (complex) incidents, by having a view on the service topology & processes
• Lead debriefing for service incidents caused in their area
• Contribute to debriefing for incidents where their area is involved
• Service Documentation
• Service Operational Engineer is accountable for ensuring complete Service Documentation
• Service Operational Engineer is most hit by absence of Service Documentation
Responsibilities:
• Together with the team you are responsible for the operational readiness of the Belgacom cloud infrastructure, applications and services.
• It is of major importance that you take ownership of incidents and problems and that you take care of all actions necessary to solve them.
• You will execute operational activities like planned works, follow-up of incidents, etc.
• You are pro-active in the search for improvements concerning the procedures and applications used for our cloud services.
You're able to analyse possible improvements, work them out and when needed to follow up their implementation by means of an internal team project.
• Together with your colleagues you will take care of the daily management of the applications running on our cloud infrastructure
• You will document operational procedures, tips & tricks, checklists and FAQ's.
• You will participate in a guard duty to provide second line support on a 24/7 basis.
Technical skills:
• You're interested to work in an operational environment (escalations, on-call guard duty, planned works, … during nights and weekends).
• You are an all-round IT professional.
Personal skills:
• Ambiguity is not a problem for you.
• You are flexible and able to adapt you continuously to the fast changing Cloud domain.
• You have good coordination & reporting skills.
• You are resistant to stress.
• You are a team player but able to work independently.
• You have good communication skills (written & spoken).
