SQL Server Support - .NET Applications - Dublin - Rate Negotiable - 12 months
My client urgently requires a MS SQL Server support analyst based in Dublin for a 12 month contract. You will be required to do day-to-day management of the SQL Server Database infrastructure and the drafting and/or updating of professional quality system documentation to industry standards. Although this position is based offsite, you must be able to go onsite from time to time.
Skills required:
Ongoing monitoring of MS SQL Servers, improving resilience of MS SQL Infrastructure, recovery procedures for MS SQL Infrastructure, preparing standards and procedures documentation for the proper planning, installation, security, support and maintenance of the MS SQL Infrastructure including in place upgrades and migration to later versions of SQL Server. Development work in ASP.NET will be required for development and maintenance of in-house applications, implementing planned releases, fault reporting, testing modifications in a Lab environment, applying Hot Fixes, running of urgent report scripts and routine scripts.
You will have successfully completed the following exams:
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Implementation and Maintenance exam (Reference 70-431) or hold an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Minister.

- Designing, optimizing and maintaining a database administrative solution using MS SQL server 2008 (Reference 70-450) or hold an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Minister. Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Implementation and maintenance (Reference 70-432) or hold an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Minister.
