Contracts Manager

£400 - £490 per day
Working for an established organisation, the ideal candidate will be required to work as part of a team to ensure activities are delivered in on time by the agreed providers, offering value for money. You will also ensure rigorous financial control of all commissioned activities, identify appropriate strategies for monitoring financial performance of commissioned services and ensures best value for money. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a full understanding of negotiation dynamics and consistently utilises successful negotiating and influencing behaviours. You will be able to understand the availability of specialist information and uses a wide range of healthcare benchmarks to compare supplier performance nationally, regionally and locally to identify areas for leverage of competitive supplier arrangements and service improvement initiatives. You will also be required to set an example for team members regarding professional and ethical conduct of negotiations, provides coaching and support to team members on influencing and negotiating styles being able to flex styles to suit the situation. The ideal candidate will understand the requirements of contracts applying processes and standards consistently and takes a proactive approach in resolving problems. Support the management of key contractors to drive continuous performance and quality improvements and ensure metrics are meet of supplier performance. Previous experience of working in a similar position within the NHS/Healthcare and knowledge of a range of performance and contract management models, frameworks and techniques, would be desirable.
