Job Title: Calypso Tester
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Job Type: Contract
The successful candidate for this position team will work with complex Market risk and Counter party Credit risk applications to perform Market and Counter party Credit risk analytics data analysis, QA, regression testing, UAT execution and help in the implementation of multiple phases of the projects.
Responsibilities for Calypso Tester:
Responsible for handling the most complex quality assurance and test environment problems and issues by partnering with the application development teams, upstream data partners, business partners, etc.
Develop a strong understanding of the systems and their environments that support the operation to effectively function as the liaison between the business partners and the technical areas of the Bank.
Act as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts.
Work with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process.
May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project.
Analyze, test, and certify application-specific software and perform ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents.
Use advanced knowledge of risk, trading and market data applications - Adaptiv, Calypso, Galaxy, Endur, Security Master to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems.
Research new products and industry methodologies and facilitate the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Plan and direct quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitor project status in comparison to cost/time projections.
Log, track, and verify resolution of software and specification defects.
Document all phases of QA process.
Skills for Calypso Tester:
experience in application support/platform management including 3+ years experience in the capital markets and investment banking industry.
experience documenting test scripts/plans, executing test scripts, end to end integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
experience with Quality Center or other tools for test plans, traceability, etc.
experience working with Unix and Windows environments, SQL skills with relational databases like MS SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, and MS Office skills.
QA Analyst experience with financial capital markets or risk systems supporting trade floor environment.
Extensive knowledge of capital markets business and process including understanding of trade life cycle, measurement of risk sensitivities - PFE, EE, Greeks, VaR, Stress, etc.
Knowledge of FO trading and risk applications Calypso, Endur, Market Risk Systems, Adaptiv, etc.
Knowledge of distributed computing, large data tools like Data Synapse, Oracle Coherence.
Ability to effectively communicate utilizing written and verbal communications skills with business partners, and be able to work in very dynamic, fast paced environment.
Preferred skills:
Experience with Autosys or other job scheduling tools.
Experience with understanding programming languages and reporting tools like Java, SSIS, SSRS.
Problem solving and critical thinking analysis.
Demonstrated attention to detail, team player, and highly self motivated.
