Senior Project Manager (Regulatory Reporting, Bristol)

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to work on a a large regulatory driven business change project within financial services. Our client, a reputable FTSE 100 financial services organisation is looking for an experienced project manager to come on board, who can pick up things quickly and can effectively manage the project and give it the necessary direction in order to deliver on time and within budget. The successful Senior Project Manager must have a can-do attitude and be prepared to roll up their sleeves in a bid to get the work done.

Senior Project Manager Key Skills:

  • Experience in leading and delivering regulatory and legal projects within a Financial Services environment
  • Experience in dealing with a teams based in multiple locations.
  • A proven track record of creating and publishing agreed definitions for a project ensuring the buy-in of project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Experience of using commercial awareness to design more complex project definitions.
  • Experience in communication of all project requirements to project members and department managers impacted by the development.
  • A track record of continually assessing the progress of a project and pre-empting problems by identifying change requirements.
  • Experience in managing cost, timescale, quality and benefits realisation requirements with the agreement of project sponsors
  • Experience in defining project governance including roles required within the project team and negotiating to ensure the appropriate positions are filled with appropriately qualified members.
  • Strong understanding of the requirements for project standards and documentation including timelines, status/risk/issue reporting and communication, exception reporting and project sign off.
  • Experience of managing individual project risks into a wider multi-project environment.
  • Experience of building strong working relationships with, and managing third party suppliers, contract staff, etc., working within a project.
  • Experience of financial management of Project budgets
  • Qualification (or equivalent experience) in management and/or formal project/programme management qualification.
  • 4-6+ years experience in Project Management with delivery track recor
