Role Title: Head of Learning & Development
Type: Contract
Location: Central London
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £550-£650 per day

Our exceptional Central London-based client is looking for an experienced Head of Learning & Development to support our client's strategic objectives and help it grow by building competence and capability, through learning and development and organisational development initiatives. You will also develop and enhance the talent, leadership and management capability.

Key Responsibilities:

oProvide strong leadership for the Learning and Development team instilling excellent client service focus, and prioritisation.
oDemonstrate a tangible return on learning and development through measurement, evaluation and Key Performance Indicators.
oDevelop an organisational learning and development strategy and plans to meet immediate and longer terms needs in response to the organisation's target operating model.
oDelivering their Leadership Strategic Framework, Capability Plan, Strategic Operational Training Plan and Corporate Employee Engagement plan.
oPartner with stakeholders to understand and prioritise needs.
oLead on building effective partner relations and work collaboratively with stakeholders and external agencies and the wider law enforcement community.
oLead the strategy for building leadership and management capability at all levels for the present and future through a combination of talent management, learning and development and direct support for leaders.

Qualifications Required (Desirable):

oManagement qualification or Level 4 NVQ equivalent.
oExperience managing a dispersed team.
oChartered Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, (Chartered (FCIPD).

Experience Required:

oExperience of making a positive difference in the following areas; leadership, change, engagement, culture and organisational capability.
oExperience of developing evidence based organisation interventions that influence behaviour.
oExperience of business planning and monitoring performance.

Knowledge Required:

oHas a deep understanding of organisational strategy, performance goals and drivers. Understands how to build organisational architecture for delivery and optimal performance.
oKnows how cultures are created, how they evolve over time and how to intervene to shape them.
oKnows what external human resources 'thought leaders' and benchmark organisations are recommending as best practice and how to apply this to a evolving organisation.
