I am looking to hire a Financial Investigator for one of my public client. This role requires travelling to other client site as per business need.

Please read the below job specification:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To act as an accredited financial investigator undertaking confiscation/restraint and other work under the Proceeds of Crime Act
  • To work in the client Intelligence team developing new cases
  • Take part in searches and inspections of commercial and domestic premises.
  • Analyze documents (both digital and hard copy) to identify relevant evidence.
  • Interview suspects and witnesses and take witness statements.
  • Present evidence in an analyzed form which will be accessible to others including lawyers, decision-makers and courts.
  • Carry out other duties as required.

Experience required:

1) Significant experience of Proceeds of Crime Act' legislation, accredited auditor able to follow money trails, extracting correct information from large volumes of material, driving license.

2) Hold of a full driving license or be prepared to learn to drive.

3) Applicants will attend a three week training course which we expect will start in late January. The first two weeks will be based in London during the day and the third week will be residential outside London.

4) The client proves the existence of cartels by finding evidence, often in the form of documents.

5) The HEO investigator is the person mainly responsible for gathering and analysing documentary evidence, whether from open sources and witnesses or from searches and inspections of business records, in order to demonstrate the existence of a cartel to a criminal court or a civil tribunal.

6) Have to examined a large volume of material, extracted relevant items, and organised them to demonstrate something.

7) Ability to communicate effectively to a high standard in both written and spoken English.

8) Ability to deal with, and communicate fluently across, all social and educational groups.

9) Ability to understand new ideas and gain new skills, particularly in the areas of investigation, law and economics.

Please note that the selected candidate needs to have SC Clearance.
