SCCM/SCOM Engineer - Scotland - 8 month contract
Square one are looking for a SCOM SME to come on board for an initial 8 month contract based in Erskine, Scotland.
Production of Design documentation and Functional Specifications
Production of Installation Guides
Production/verification of Test Plans
Prototyping of application builds and custom configurations
Liaison with other Build Teams to formalise Systems Management and Security monitoring requirements
Use of Configuration Management system to update and retrieve software and configuration data
Liaison with vendor to escalate support calls
Liaison with other Build teams to support testing, defect management and release of the solution
3-5 years of experience with Systems Centre Operations Manager (2007 and or 2012)
3-5 years of experience of systems administration in an enterprise environment
Demonstrated experience in essential out-of-the-box Microsoft management packs.
Strong diagnostic and logical fault-finding skills are essential.
Demonstrated experience in PowerShell and/or VBScript
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
The SCOM engineer should understand fully the base OS and System Centre Operations Manager/SCOM Management Packs and be able to discuss in detail at least one of the following Management Packs; Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare, including configuration, tuning and customization.
Experience in environments comprising technologies such as VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory services (AD), Exchange, SharePoint, Cisco
Production of customised SCOM 2012 Dashboards
This is an initial 8 month contract role with a view to extend based in Erskine, Scotland.
Although live SC Clearance is desirable, the project is willing to consider candidates who are SC Eligible and happy to be put through the clearance.
