For a project at our banking client site in Zurich we are looking for an experienced

Migration Support Engineer - Messaging and Web Services (2338)

Our client offers:

> A leading technical position in a multi-year, high impact and large volume technology migration Program
> Visibility across the complete application landscape of ‘PB/WM and Shared Services IT’
> A well setup and established project with a diverse and multicultural team working towards a common goal
> Direct exposure to central functions such as Integration Architecture, Technology and Infrastructure.
> Working closely with the development and testing teams, and application owners throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure the migration requirements are correctly interpreted and validated (a key role in assuring the quality of the input delivered to the offshore migration teams)
> The opportunity to become a Subject Matter Expert on our clients migration tools and processes thus supporting the migration community during their implementation cycles
> Opportunity to improve the migration process and maintain the good collaboration between the onsite and offshore development teams
> Partially a consulting role which requires to providing guidance to the development/testing teams regarding the migration requirements, at both design and implementation level

Your qualification:

> Broad knowledge of the messaging domain, messaging paradigms and solid background in Web Services analysis, design and implementation
> Intellectual capacity to describe problems at different levels, identifying alternative solutions, clearly articulating the pros/cons and making clear recommendations
> Experience in large infrastructure migration projects (Web Services migration)
> Competence in software development with common languages (C/C++, Java, .Net)
> IBM Certified Application Developer – Enterprise PL/1 would be an advantage
> Analytical troubleshooting skills and ability to own problems through to resolution.
> Flexibility, team-player attitude. Good organization of work & attention to details
> Ability to work and deliver with little guidance
> Fluent in English, German is considered a plus
