My client, a global tier 1 bank, is looking for a SAS Visual Analytics (VA) Developer to join their team in London. They are offering up to £650/day on a 6 month rolling contract expected to roll on for the coming few years.Role: SAS Visual Analytics (VA) Developer

The purpose of this role is to act as the Visual Analytics Developer for the programme through the end of the PoC phase, then into the Pilot and development phases and on into Production.
This will involve taking a central role in the workstream and interacting with the various teams within and external to the programme. These teams are made up of a mixture of vendor consultants from SAS and internal resources (both contract and permanent) based in the UK, US and Mexico (For the Pilot) - This will extend to all global locations once the programme moves into production delivery.
Essential:
- Strong experience working in visualisation - SAS Visual Analytics
- Ideally experience using Qlickview
- Demonstrable experience of proposing insightful visualizations with the data at hand
- Have an understanding of IT project management - planning, delivery, resourcing, expectation management
- IT project lifecycle - analysis, design, build, test and implementation. Iterative, Agile and Waterfall experience
- Pro-active. Can do mind-set and attitude
- Financial Crime Risk / Compliance / Regulatory OR Data Analytics projects
- Ability to work effectively with senior IT and Business stakeholders
- Some vendor engagement experience
- Good presentation skills - must be able to "sell the visualization" to the business and relevant stakeholders
- Involvement in development of large scale Analytics tools
- Exposure to operating across multiple global locations with accommodate various cultures and practices
- Translating complex business requirements into effective technology solutions
Useful:
- Experience of delivering in a highly regulated environment
- Experience of similar toolset (qlikview, spotfire, redshift, etc)
- Hands on Experience on similar toolset (qlikview, spotfire, redshift, etc)
- Knowledge of Detica Mamba
- Analytical software: DETICA (NetReveal), PALANTIR, QlikView, Cognos v11, Lavastorm, or similar
- Background in creative design / information architecture / GUI design
- Bi Lingual - English and Spanish
- Statistical / Scientific background
