My NHS client is looking for a CHC Specialist interim, reviewing CHC process in the West Midlands.

The successful NHS CHC Specialist will support the effective and efficient commissioning of Continuing Healthcare Care and complex cases.
  • To be responsible for the strategic commissioning management of Personal Health Budgets (PHB), Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and Funded Nursing Care(FNC).
  • To lead the implementation of mainstreaming personal health budgets within health care.
  • Undertake a leadership role in developing commissioning approaches to personalisation and personal health budgets for the populations of loca CCGs, working with other commissioning partners e.g. the Local Authorities, and with providers and communities.
  • To ensure the effective delivery of the six key functions of Continuing Healthcare and compliance with the National Framework;
  • Ensure the CCGs shared budget is effectively and efficiently deployed and quality and productivity is maximised for Commissioned services.
  • Translate national policy and frameworks into local delivery for PHB, CHC and FNC services developing robust processes which are consistently applied, maintained and audited to ensure the CCG applies current case law to its processes
  • To lead the continuous review and improvement of performance and quality assurance processes for CHC, FNC and PHB, including the protection of adults at risk from providers of CHC services.
  • Provide the vision for effective and efficient CHC, FNC and PHB
