Front End Architect - 6 months - AntwerpThe ideal person will have a track record of building and running high volume, reliable and flexible services. You need balance of technical expertise, gained through current, hands-on involvement in developing real-world systems, and excellent interpersonal skills allied with the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships in high pressure environments. Ideally also you have experience in development of transformational digital services
Attributes you need are to be able to conceptualise and design in some detail as well as being able to "sell" to the stakeholders an architecture focused on a Service view of the world and spanning the digital channel (user interface and interactivity web channel into Back End) and Legacy estates, and should be able to identify the blockers, challenges and options for solutions.
This is a massive Digital transformation programme, so scope for a long term engagement in a high profile programme. Urgent requirement. You need experience of Architecting, building and implementing high-volume digital services; hands-on technical leadership, in the development, operation and ongoing improvement of complex, transformational digital services.
Key skills and experience:
Developing product roadmaps
open source solutions
Must be able to keep track of the technical implementation by the Scrum team
Some of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL, eg Cassandra, MongoDB)
Front End web programming techniques, such as HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, REST, JSON
APIs (especially REST-based APIs)
Must be capable to convert visual designs in working HTML code and to configure and adapt complex widgets to interface with the Back End services.
