Java, SAP Business Connector, Oracle, SQL, Webmethods.Web Development Consultant (Java) required for an 11 month fixed term role.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
A fixed Term Contractor position has arisen in as part of an expansion of our clients business to provide business support and development services. This role will require communication and travel across Europe at all levels, knowledge of the Web Portal and Enterprise wide web administration. Must have ability to diagnose and resolve problems and issues and to act as a consultant to customers.
And person in this position can develop, support and maintain Webservice applications based on Java and SAP Business Connector.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Design and Develop Web/Webservice Projects based on Java Skill.
2. Responsible for the implementation of technology within an organization.
3. Ensure all work undertaken and system applications conform to Company standards and procedures and meet the agreed service levels.
4. Manage, plan and prioritize tasks to achieve agreed deadlines and meet user requirements
5. Identify and implement improvements to systems and its applications to meet forecast business requirements.
6. Work in multi-disciplinary teams on major projects, contributing expertise and advise to ensure successful project completion.
Managing and implementation of new applications: Webservice applications based on Java and SAP Business Connector.
7. Responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of existing applications.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
General Profile
The JAVA Developer is responsible for providing administration, technical support, forms and application design, workflow design, and end-to-end client application support for the development and implementation of Webservice applications based on Java and SAP Business Connector.
The JAVA Developer must have demonstrated in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Enterprise JAVA suite, strong analysis skills, experience in designing, developing, implementing, testing, and modifying web applications.
Experience in SAP Business Connector or Webmethod is preferred.
o Develop and maintain web portals, interactive forms, documents, templates and work flows.
o Shares own expertise with others; provides guidance and support to others.
o Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision/guidance.
o Able to communicate at all levels within the client and in the customer companies with people for whom English may not be the mother tongue.
o Willing to travel to client sites to advise customers on improvements and work towards a consistent approach to e-invoicing or business development matters.
Technical Expertise
o Hands-on experience in Java programming Language, JSP, Javascript, jQuery, HTML.
o Experience in SAP Business connector or Webmethod is preferred.
o Hands-on experience in Weblogic, Tomcat server administration.
o Understanding in System integration (Active Directory or Authentication management) with JAVA web portal.
o Experience in implementing service oriented architecture using web services and/or REST/SOAP services.
o Through Knowledge of JAVA, client / Server Workbench, SQL and any web development tools and techniques.
o Thorough understanding on SQL server 2012 and MS-SQL.
o Thorough understanding on Oracle 10/11g and Oracle SQL.
o Proficient in scripting using JavaScript, CSS and XSLT.
o Experience & good understanding of full development life cycle.
o Applies knowledge/skills to a range of standard and nonstandard activities
o Proficient in Windows & Unix.
o Ability to liaise with internal and external customers at all levels.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Degree or equivalent (in a business, accounting or computer related discipline).
English speaking is mandatory.
EXPERIENCE:
o Web designing and development experience in a commercial environment using JAVA.
o Knowledge in SAP Business Connector or Webmethod.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Must be free to travel within Europe as required.
o Largely autonomous role; so good client facing skills with experience of all levels of people and comfortable with working with senior managers within IT and the business.
o Good understanding of ITSM process and service desk operations.
