Your challenges:

Maintain and improve medical image segmentation and surface extraction/ processing software

Develop algorithms and software to parameterize virtual anatomical models (posing, morphing, personalized adaptation)

Investigate technology to functionalize virtual physiological phantoms (e.g., integration of dynamical models)

Perform cutting-edge software R&D for future beyond state-of-the-art Computational Life Sciences platform in a highly dynamic and growing market

Your strengths:

Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics (university or technical college)

Knowledge of medical image processing (registration, segmentation), computer graphics, mesh generation

Strong C++ skills. Practical experience as a software engineer with know-how in the latest tools and technologies (Python, Boost, OpenGL, VTK, ITK, CGAL)

MS Windows GUI programming skills (MFC, Qt, C#) advantageous

Good English language skills, knowledge of German advantageous

Versatility, self-motivation, perfectionism, good organizational skills, ability to work creatively independently or in a team, willingness to learn new things every day and to take on responsibility when necessary
