Front Office Derivatives Analyst/Programmer - Investment Banking - Contract - London - £550-£650 / day

My client in a top tier investment bank is looking for a Front Office Derivatives Analyst/Programmer to focus on 'business as usual' fixes and small enhancements on an in-house sales and trading workflow system (derivatives) developed on top of the .NET framework.

The technology stack is C#, WPF and WCF using SQL Server 2008 R2. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the Commodities Trading, other departments like and technicians in other development teams.

The candidate must possess:·
  • Strong C# development skills with emphasis on WCF server-side programming·
  • Good working knowledge of XAML·
  • A good working knowledge of derivatives and prior experience working on trading or risk systems.(ability to fluidly communicate to stakeholders/users in sales and trading)·
  • Proven experience and understanding of object-orientated design principles
  • Expert / outstanding cooperation
  • Advanced / strong analytical thinking
  • Advanced / strong conceptual thinking
  • Solid systematic approach (e.g. ability to work well unsupervised to challenging business deadlines the requirements of which often require analysis work with the front office users)


The candidate must be able to work in a highly dynamic environment with demanding users. The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to the business area and products as well as the opportunity to work in a technically challenging, delivery focused environment.
