Job Mission
The stage position measurement systems consist of highly accurate optical & electronic sensors, high speed data processing and complex software models to determine the position of high speed stages. Within this department the Stage Position Measuring group develops these sensors systems in close cooperation with co-developers.
As design engineer in stage position measurement you contribute to the development of products. This is done by module specification and concept choice; design, technical budget analysis, critical component selection, integration and test execution of position measurement components or subsystems. As design engineer you report to the group leader of the Stage Position Measuring group in this department.
Job Description
* Work in multidisciplinary project teams, aimed at realization of a Position Measurement System
* Troubleshoot on mechatronics issues on installed & production systems
* Arranging issue meetings, take charge, distribute activities to specialists
* Evaluate design solutions, technical budget analysis & module design
* Selection of critical components and technologies
* Interact with module supplier during the complete development process
* Lead engineer for module integration and test
* Troubleshoot of non-performance situations
* Review and documentation of design, analysis and test results
Education
Technical University masters in mechatronics, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or mathematics.
Experience
* Experience in the field of position measurement, sensor design and/or mechatronics is preferred.
* Some work experience in multidisciplinary projects involving mechatronics, electronics and software is a pre.
