My client; an Acute Trust in the South East area are currently seeking to appoint a General Manager - Medicine for 6 months with a view to extend.The General Manager will report to the Associate Director of Operations and will be accountable to the Chief Operating Officer. You will manage a large team of staff from administrators through to assistant Service managers ensuring compliance with the Trusts 18 week RTT targets. You will also be targeted on the management of the Cardiology and Respiratory part of the trust.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that service delivery is managed by providing systems of work, pathway redesign, risk assessments, governance arrangements, assurance for medical and support staff in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
- Together with the Clinical & Associate Directors, ensure all services and specialties demonstrate financial discipline and the achievement of financial balance. The post holder will be responsible for identifying cost savings as part of the Trust's Cost Improvement
- Lead on and ensure that across the Directorate, the patient pathway, the processes, roles and structures are reviewed and improvements delivered in key areas to ensure that services are patient-focused, efficient, viable and competitive, meet national and local targets and provide the best patient care and experience within financial budgets.
