Senior transport project manager
We are currently looking for a senior transport project manager to work an initial 6 month contract for our client a Local Authority based in the Home Counties, paying a rate of £350 to £400 per day
The main purpose of the role is to support the project management work of Place Service. Specifically to project manage major/complex new and/or existing projects across the Place Service and any Corporate Projects. Working with the Commissioning and Development Managers and relevant in-house expert officer/teams to deliver the Projects. To work closely and manage any external specialist support where appropriate.
Candidate requirements:
- Substantial relevant experience of managing major projects at a Senior level.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, to manage a range of complex activities and to achieve given targets
- Experience of coordinating partnership working with external organisations and the private sector
- Budget and contract management experience
- Good ICT skills including use of standard Microsoft applications and specialist systems
- Prince2 Practitioner
