Our client, a global leading micro-electronic manufacturing organisation, is looking for a Validation Engineer to work within their major office. They are looking for a suitable candidate to join ASAP, with the position based in the Netherlands. This will be a 12 months contract.
This is an exciting project, focusing on next generation low power techniques for ARM based microcontroller ICs.

Job Responsibilities:
The Validation Engineer is responsible for:
• Validating the correctness of(parts of)the system, working closely with other disciplines like innovation and design.
• Setting up and executing automated validation and testing of IC’s.
• Analysing measurement results and proposing fixes for bugs found.
• Writing LabView based automated equipment programs.
• Executing test requirements / test results administration (e.g. in DOORS)
• Creating English written documentation
• Supporting innovation and design engineers

Job Requirements:
• M.Sc./ BSc. in electronic engineering or equivalent
• MUST have 5+ years’ experience in IC validation
• MUST have ability to develop software to validate (parts of) the system (C/C++)
• MUST have LabView programming experience
• Knowledge of digital and analogue laboratory equipment and measurement techniques
• Be able to develop new validation application boards
• Knowledge of scripting languages
• Able to identify and resolve complex issues
• Able to make clear documentation
• Clear and concise communication
• Hands-on mentality
• Team player, self-starter
• Languages: English, both verbal and in writing

We preferably are also looking for experience in one or more of the following fields:
• Implementation of test-routines for HTOL/HAST
• Knowledge of IC-design
• Understand ARM based 32 bit microcontrollers and their complex bus structures
