Position Summary

Research Analyst Manager required for a key permanent post in the ICT industry, especially for big data analytics, video analytics, cloud computing, mobile and Internet of Things (IoT).

Responsibilities of this position include developing technology sensing strategy and reporting technology sensing deliverables to the company HQ by investigating start-ups, companies, and university labs based on HQ requests. This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills to provide insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Keep track of ICT trends, emerging technologies and start-ups in the UK.
Draw implications from data gathering and UK ICT industry analysis and offer to the HQ.
Develop technology sensing strategy and report deliverables to the HQ on a weekly basis which include the information on promising start-ups, university labs and relevant technologies.
Support the HQ during the process of technology sourcing and university collaboration.
Provide technological insights to the company and the HQ: e.g. Define performance goals and key milestones to execute the technology sensing strategy.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Expertise

Understanding of the UK ICT industry.
10+ years or equivalent experience in ICT Research Analysis or other relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge in the ICT industry, especially in big data analytics, video analytics, cloud computing, mobile and Internet of Things.
Excellent (written and oral) communication and interpersonal skills.
Work experience in a top tier ICT firm, related start-up or venture capitalist (VC) preferred.
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving situation.

Globalization and Language Requirements

5+ years or equivalent work experience in a UK-based firm.
Native English speaker.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, electric engineering or ICT related field.
British college graduate or MBA /MSc preferred.
