Responsibilities:
Manage and provide technical support for the AMS Network infrastructure.
Ensure the security of the network from internal and external attack.
Support all network servers and ensure all are hardened against attack.
Carry out baselining of all infrastructure hardware.
Liaise with UK Cyber Security Office on a regular basis to discuss potential threats and provide solutions to counter
them.
Assist & support the department operation so that services are implemented to a high standard and within the SLA.
Carry out administrative duties as directed by the department Cyber Security Responsible Person (CSRP).
Able to support technical tasks relating to IP Infrastructure in a CS or MS environment.
Qualifications:
Project management experience of planning and delivering network security enhancements
Technical experience to be able to resolve 1st line, 2nd line and even 3rd line IT and network support issues
Experience of designing network security architectures, configuring, supporting and maintaining (VPN, IPSec, IPS,
VLAN, MS Windows server, servers running FTPS)
Experience of supporting Computer Port Management (CPM)
Excellent knowledge of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS etc.
Qualified as a security network engineer (e.g. CCNA or above)
Good knowledge of Wide Area Networks (WAN) including MPLS
Good knowledge of open source solutions (e.g. Linux)
