Business Intelligence Developer
Computer Futures is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer based in the southwest to join our clients IT department. They will be required to assist with the design, delivery and support of the data warehouse, converting business requirements into the technical specifications and in turn translate these into a coherent solution within the data warehouse.
Key accountability's:
- Data Modelling - Dimensional modelling responsibilities (Logical and physical).
- Data Staging -Developing and maintaining the ETL process.
- Technical Support - Technical resource planning and capacity planning (Hardware and software).
- Maintain the tiered data model and determine work according to the model.
- Encourage process improvement and best practice.
- Assess reporting/ analysis tools according to opportunity/ business need.
- Testing/Q.A. Analysis - Ensure developments are tested and meet QA and user acceptance criteria.
- Data mining and analytics
The ideal candidate will have excellent T-SQL knowledge, a good understanding of dimensional modelling techniques, superior organisational skills with the ability to plan time efficiently to focus on delivery of tasks.
Desirable's:
- Business Objects experience
- Exposure to project management methods and structured design methodologies
- Knowledge of WhereScape Red, Oracle and the core tools associated with SQL Server.
