Our client has identified a need to upgrade its current suite of Office applications Microsoft Office from version 2007 to .
Following internal discussions, we have identified a need to have project management support in order to improve the tasks of internal service and delivery and reporting.
Within this context the need for an external project management consultant has been identified to work on the project tasks.
Responsibilities:
The mission shall be comprised of the following practical tasks & deliverables...
• Familiarisation of the Fluxys ICT environment (organisation, stakeholders, processes, etc.)
• Project Planning
o Assistance in project planning taking into account of progress, constraints and changes.
• Project Execution
o Initiation and follow-up of the project work packages and tasks with the implicated persons
• Project Reporting
o Regular reporting to internal Fluxys project owner(s) of progress
o Regular reporting to project governance committee of costs, progress and forecast
• Assistance in stakeholder and communication management
o Gathering of communications needs and expectations of the identified stakeholders.
o Communicating to the stakeholders in the correct manner with respect to expectations.
• Risk Management
o Identification, analysis, response planning, and monitoring
• Change Management
o Management of changes including impact analysis, planning, and integration into project if accepted.
• Presentation of the conclusion to Fluxys management, infrastructure, systems, and security stakeholders.
Note that the above list is not exhaustive and other typical project management tasks and/or deliverables may be identified after the start of the mission.
Technical skills:
The person most apt to perform this mission should be competent and experienced in the general domain of ICT project management with specific experience as follows...
• Microsoft Project application
• General knowledge of typical ICT hardware and software architectural elements including clients, servers, storage, networks, and databases.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office and typical enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of the current trends of cloud and virtualisation technologies, as supplied by Microsoft, and also what is being implemented within companies with similar size to Fluxys.
• Knowledge of Risk analysis and its application in ICT projects.
• Knowledge of stakeholder and communication management which can typically be used in ICT projects.
• Business and communication skills in order to implicate the impacted business and technical stakeholders correctly.
• This experience should ideally be supplemented by the relevant certification (e.g. PMP or and/or Prince) in the domain of project management.
