Job Description:
  • Wrap skids of product.
  • Support manufacturing departments through the movement of product, raw materials, and supplies in and out of the manufacturing areas.
  • De-corrugate material shipped from vendors.
  • Assist with all types of communication (ie verbal, phone, e-mail) as required in the daily operation of the department.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance.
  • Perform supplemental duties as assigned by team leader/supervisor.
  • Respond to requests from customers for supplies and information in a courteous, and timely manner.
  • Position is First Shift.

  • Manual dexterity using hands and fingers.
  • Constant standing for extended periods.
  • Frequent need to sit, kneel, crouch, and climb.
  • Reach with hands and arms.

  • Noted personnel protection equipment (PPE) must be utilized while on the job.
  • High noise levels, Hearing Protection as required.
  • Frequent exposure to heavy items, ANSI 75 Safety shoes required.
  • Exposure to cleaning agents/chemicals, PPE as required.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, Ensure safety shields are always in place.
  • Exposure to extreme temperature variations, PPE as required.
SKILLS:

Education:
  • High School graduate or equivalent Language Skills.
Skills:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and departmental procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and team leader.
  • Ability to document steps accurately and legibly.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to complete batch records and inventory calculations using basic math.
  • Ability to set up and use basic weight devices in U.S. and Metric format Reasoning Ability.
  • Ability to understand instructions in written, oral, and/or diagram formats.
  • Ability to recognize product quality issues based on company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to show respect for co-workers.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative through past performance.
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds.
