To support a customer project, we are looking for a Senior Test Engineer (m/w) matching the below stated requirements:Requirements:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or other related field such as Telecommunications or Physics
Postgraduate studies - M.Sc or M.Eng degrees - would be a plus.
5+ years of professional experience focusing on application support or test and verification or system engineering or RF design and 7+ overall working experience.
Familiar with test equipment and their automation and RF principles
Very good knowledge of mobile communications standards including GSM, WCDMA and LTE
Very good programming and scripting skills in TCL or Ruby or other script based programming language (e.g. Perl, Python, Java) and familiar with SCPI commands and their usage
Basic experience with soldering stations and manual placement of surface mound components.
Demonstrated teamwork and cross-cultural awareness and a desire to gain a broad spectrum of knowledge while maintaining the ability to dig into deep technical challenges
Languages: English is required and knowledge of other languages such as German is a plus
Task Description:
Get involved in the integration of a complex active system by incorporating RF transceiver boards, FPGAs, microcontrollers, firmware and operating software.
Perform RF, digital and software related tests to verify system specification compliance.
Work in close cooperation with other development teams in order to maintain a deep knowledge of the system.
Get involved in the development and operation of RF & functionally automated testing platforms.
Debug hardware, interfaces and software together with subcomponent developers.
Provide frontline support for system field trials if asked
