Solution Design Architect Data Center (DC)-Brussels-6 months+

Montreal Associates is currently looking for a Solution Design Architect Data Center(DC) with a minimum of 5+ in complex service contracts and outsourcing as architect or senior consultant for our customer in Brussels for a 6 months project (extension possible).

Requirements:

• Experience in designing solutions as a delivery architect for managed services and outsourcing projects is a must. This can vary from complete solutions to additional demands/change requests going from 10K to over 1 million EUR
• 4 to 7 years professional experience in the IT industry designing high value, complex solutions in a service context
• Solid knowledge of Data Center and/or End User Services and Service Management solutions including
  • Mandatory: DataCenter Technologies
    • Storage and Backup (Eternus, Netapp, Symantec NBU)
    • Server (Primergy blade technology), Virtualization (VMware)
    • Network (Brocade, Cisco, Juniper), standard applications (Microsoft, SAP)
  • Optional: Work Place Systems technologies
    • End User Device Services (Rollout, migrations, packaging; back-end services)
    • Citrix (Xenapp 6.5, edgesight, Netscaler)
    • Microsoft (win 7-8, Office, Windows server, Exchange, SCOM, SCCM, SQL
    • Symantec (NBU, EV, VCS, Puredisk SEP 12)
  • Service Management
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture in multi-tower context
• Solid understanding of ins and outs of the different service towers and their interaction
• General knowledge of broad spectrum IT domains
• Translation of business requirements to a customer solution in a contractual context
• Strong Commercial awareness and business focus
• Knowledge of Service Management and service delivery modelling

Knowledge of Transition and Transformation of complex environments is a plus.
