The Imaging & Control department has the task to develop, deliver, integrate and qualify functional modules & machine/customer applications on spec, within time and budget in the areas of immersion and Extreme Ultra Violet technology.

Job Mission
Candidate is responsible for specifying the requirements with respect to materials and scanner contamination risk. Furthermore the candidate is responsible for proper execution of the requirements. Finally it is his/her responsibility to ensure proper qualification of systems with respect to materials usage and contamination.
Job Description
- Responsible for selection and qualification of materials related to contamination control.
- Supports the specification of the necessary cleanliness within (part of) the system, in order to achieve the desired functionality.
- Defines means and methods and performs the tests to verify the specifications.
- Provides tools and knowledge of detecting, mimicking and controlling contamination.
- Provides materials for improvement of an overall machine performance as well as the knowledge of material characterization methods.
- Achieves results by literature search, experimental testing or supervision of external research activities.
- Is responsible for the proper documentation of specifications, doing/supporting calculations, and tests.
- Focus area is on electrostatic clamps for wafers
Education
Academic background, MSc or PhD, material science, physical chemistry/physics with affinity for thin film technology
Experience
Solid experimental and/or theoretical experience in the area of
- Most relevant: Thin film process technology
- Material qualification and metrology (hands on experience is a must).
- Coating properties and processes
- Surface treatments and their effect on surface properties and particle release
- Particle adhesion/release mechanisms like electrostatics, thermal fields, plasmas.
Personal skills
- Candidate should be able to work independently in a dynamic explorative environment
- Robust personality is a must
- Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude.
- Good communicational skills and good knowledge of English.
