A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a pro-active and driven individual from an Electrical or Civil Engineering background with site management experience within construction to enter an influential solar company with a large presence within the United Kingdom. Within this fast paced growing company the opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager within the Devon area. This role would provide valuable construction experience within the solar industry with opportunity for future progression.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare large scale solar construction sites prior and during construction phases
- Planning large scale solar construction projects making sure they meet specifications and timescales
- Manage and oversee building works on site
- Liaise with company, clients and contractors
- Site progression reporting
- Construction site safety inspections/adherence
- Quality control
- Ensuring technical design specifications are met through quality control of the project
- Construction management computer system use
- Ensuring construction is completed on time and to high quality through workforce motivation, quality control procedures and the problem solving of issues
Competencies and Experience
- Electrical/Civil Engineering background
- Construction site management experience (2+ years required minimum)
- CSCS
- SMSTS
- Previous experience in solar site management (highly desirable)
- First Aid qualification
- Strong communication skills
- Motivational
- Analytical minded
- Strong problem solving skills
- Team working skills
- Interest in renewable energy (desirable)
