Estimating Engagement Manager - Contract - Estimating, Activity Based Costing Experience, Pre-sales support for Bids, RFI responses.

Exciting company in the Financial Services sector are currently recruiting for an Estimating Engagement Manager to manage the Estimation Process and take responsibility for facilitating requests for IT estimates in support of bids, proposals, new products, projects and customer requests for change.

The Estimating Engagement Manager liaises with Sales Support, Product, Finance and all IT functions to manage estimating activities so as to ensure customer and internal SLAs for estimates are met whilst considering resourcing constraints.

Key responsibilities include managing and facilitating meetings, sending notifications, reviewing and validating artefacts eg impact assessments, challenging if requirements are not of sufficient quality or missing information, drafting meeting minutes, entry of estimates into the Estimation Tool and/or appropriate spreadsheets, arranging approvals of estimates, ensuring estimating activities are completed on time and managing stakeholder communication on progress and status of estimates.

Ensure that all appropriate IT, Product and sales support processes are followed, ensuring the quality of estimates for bid submissions and into Business Cases, managing reports and status summaries to stakeholders.

Assistance for Enterprise Architecture, Demand Management and PMO Resource Demand Supply Planning by providing oversight on planning, estimating, and coordinating internal resources and partners as required.

Skills required:
Experience in the preparation of cost estimates in order to delivery fully priced proposals and estimating software competency skills
Activity Based Costing experience
Ability to manage, work with cross functional managers and teams to agree and produce cost estimates in detail and with accuracy
Understanding of Pre-sales support eg estimates for Bids, RFI responses, etc.
Ability to interpret work plans, knowledge of Resource Supply Demand Planning
Ability to work to tight deadlines working co-operatively as part of cross-functional teams
Commercial skills and acuity
Excellent Stakeholder engagement and management skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Expert Excel skills
Strong Organisational Skills
Meeting Facilitation
Ability to work independently and as well as in a Matrix organisation

Desirable:
Financial Services experience, PlanView experience.
