The client highly successful Water Division has an exciting opportunity for an experienced water/wastewater civil engineer to join its operations in Reading.
Job Description
You will join an innovative and motivated team of professionals, preparing outline and detailed civil engineering designs and producing technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules in close partnership with our client and contractor partners.
You will also represent the company in technical meetings with our clients, supervise the work of more junior staff, and provide technical and professional guidance to aid their development. This role will present your with a fantastic opportunity to further develop your technical and management skills through your project work, with great prospects to advance your career within our rapidly expanding Water Division.
Candidate Specification
* Chartered engineer (or working towards Chartership)
* Strong water industry experience, especially in relation to clean and wastewater networks, pumping stations, storage tanks etc.
* Project management experience (at least of the design element of a project)
* Understanding of designer's responsibilities under CDM
* Experience of managing clients and other project stakeholders
Desirable:
* Experience of delivering Environment Agency flooding projects
* Experience of delivering DG5 flood alleviation schemes for UK water companies
* Knowledge of Infoworks (CS & ICM)
* Knowledge of either ISIS or TuFlow
* Knowledge of GIS, MapInfo or Arcview
